The President of Religious Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş, gathered with citizens for the morning prayer at the Martyrs’ Mosque in Baku during his visit to Azerbaijan for the “Global Religious Leaders Summit.”

Continuing his contacts in Azerbaijan for the “Global Religious Leaders Summit,” President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş met with citizens for the morning prayer at the Martyrs’ Mosque in Baku. After reciting the morning call to prayer and leading the prayer, Erbaş addressed the congregation. He stated that the morning prayer is the greatest test for believers, saying, “If there is prayer, other acts of worship will follow; if there is no prayer, there will be no other acts of worship. Prayer is the key to worship. In fact, we will be questioned about prayer first among the acts of worship during the inquiry. Our Lord says, ‘Command your family and your household to pray, and be steadfast in it.’ Therefore, let us strive to perform our greatest test, which is prayer, accurately and continuously. Let us also educate our children with prayer and try to get them accustomed to it.”

“The way to pass the test is patience”

Expressing that raising children is not easy today, Erbaş said, “There are great obstacles between us and our children, but this is also a test. Our Lord states in the Quran, ‘Know that your possessions and your children are a test for you.’ Therefore, the way to pass this test is patience. We must continue on our path with patience, following the Quran and the Sunnah, without compromising from the teachings of the Quran and the prophetic method.”
