Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas stated in his statement regarding the attack that he was “as saddened as everyone else” and expressed his disappointment about what happened. While the panic after the attack and the intervention of the fans to a wounded person was captured by amateur cameras, it was claimed that one of the suspects was captured by the fans and handed over to the police.
