Approximately 2,000 people in the capital city of Germany, Berlin, organized a march to show support for Palestine and condemn Israeli attacks.

Solidarity Actions Continue

Solidarity actions with Palestine continue unabated in the capital city of Germany, Berlin. Demonstrations held in Berlin every weekend since the beginning of Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip were also carried out today.

Protest Slogans and Reactions

Around 2,000 Palestine supporters gathered on Wilmersdorfstrasse Street, where after a brief speech and recitation of the Quran, they started their march. The demonstrators walking to Wittembergplatz Square expressed their reactions to political leaders who support Israel or turn a blind eye to its aggression. While carrying models of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, U.S. President Joe Biden, and some leaders of Gulf countries, the bloody white shirts on the models drew attention.

  • “Stop the genocide in Gaza”
  • “Germany still hasn’t learned anything”
  • “Masks of Arab leaders in Gaza have fallen”

Arrests and Tensions

During the march, where participants also carried Turkish flags, a huge Palestinian flag was unfurled, and tensions occasionally arose between the police and the demonstrators. Some demonstrators were detained. The police reported that the detained individuals made insulting remarks and carried banners with prohibited slogans.
