Just hours before the most important duty of Hajj, the Arafat pilgrimage, hundreds of Hajj candidates will wear their ihram and take buses parked in front of hotels to the special area 25 kilometers away. The pilgrims who will be at Arafat Plain on the day of Arafah, which is called the Day of Tarwiyah on the 8th day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, will start their journey by bus. The Hajj candidates who will go to the 14-square-kilometer area allocated to Turkish pilgrims have completed their final preparations. As the Arafat pilgrimage, described as the ‘great gathering of Muslims,’ approaches, the excitement of the journey has surrounded the Hajj candidates. According to the information received, the Presidency of Religious Affairs has intensified its efforts to transport the Hajj candidates to the Arafat meeting, described as the ‘rehearsal of the Day of Judgment.’ All Hajj candidates in Medina were also transferred to Mecca for the Arafat visit. The Presidency, which is preparing for a special operation for the journey to Arafat, located about 25 kilometers east of Mecca, in the afternoon on Friday, will operate with 655 buses. 84,942 Hajj candidates will be transported to the region with three trips to be carried out by the buses. Additionally, around 500 industrial-type air-conditioned tents have been set up to accommodate the Hajj candidates at Arafat, where the temperature approaches 45 degrees Celsius. Unlike other years, the tents, which will be used foldable beds instead of sponge mattresses, have also been specially insulated from the heat. Guidance programs will be organized for the Hajj candidates who will spend the night in Arafat with prayers and worship. The program, which will include the recitation of the Qur’an and hymns, will be delivered to the tents through a central sound system. The prayer of the pilgrimage will be conducted by the President of Religious Affairs, Erbaş, after the noon prayer on the Day of Arafah. After the prayer of the pilgrimage, the Hajj candidates will move to the Muzdalifah region as the Arafat borders open, where they will combine the evening and night prayers. Following the Muzdalifah pilgrimage, they will move to the Jamarat area to stone the devil. After stoning the devil, the Hajj candidates will return to their hotels, shave their heads, and change from ihram after the sacrificial animal of gratitude is offered. Then, after performing the visitation circumambulation and the Sa’y ritual, they will receive the title of Hajj.
