Despite the ongoing attacks on the Gaza Strip by Israel for 208 days, the country has decided to increase the entry of humanitarian aid by opening the Erez Border Crossing for the first time.

The opening of the Erez Border Crossing was a long-awaited step for hundreds of thousands of civilians living in the north of Gaza. This step, which was also among the demands of international aid organizations, took place during the visit of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to Israel.

Colonel Moshe Tetro, head of Israel’s Gaza Coordination and Liaison Administration, stated that the Erez Border Crossing will now be open every day and they aim for 500 aid trucks to enter Gaza daily.
