Palestinian-born British surgeon Ghassan Abu-Sitta announced that he was unable to enter France to attend a conference due to the entry ban imposed on him by Germany. Abu-Sitta, who was banned from entering Europe for 1 year by Germany, could not enter France to participate in the conference.
Reaction and Scandal in France
Abu-Sitta, who was planned to attend the conference on ‘France’s responsibility in implementing international law in Palestine’ held in Paris, was not allowed to enter the country. Abu-Sitta, who connected to the conference via phone, expressed his reaction on social media stating that Europe silenced witnesses of genocide. This situation was considered a scandal in France, while the leader of the ecologist group in the Senate and senators described the incident as a great disgrace.
