U.S. President Joe Biden discussed the attack on a U.S. base in Jordan with the National Security Council yesterday. President Biden addressed the drone attack on the Tower 22 U.S. base, located near the Syrian border in Jordan, during a morning meeting with the National Security Council. A statement from the White House indicated that the comprehensive discussion in the meeting covered the attack in which three U.S. soldiers lost their lives. In his statement, Biden mentioned, “Today, I was briefed by members of my national security team in the Situation Room on the recent developments regarding the attack on the U.S. military in the northeastern part of Jordan. As I’ve previously stated, we will hold all responsible parties accountable at a time and manner of our choosing.” The meeting was attended by National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, National Intelligence Director Avril Haines, White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zients, Deputy National Security Advisor Jonathan Finer, Homeland Security Advisor Liz Sherwood Randall, and National Security Council Middle East and North Africa Coordinator Brett McGurk.
