In Mekka-i Mükerreme, preparations for the Arafat Pilgrimage, which is the most important obligation for the pilgrims, are rapidly ongoing. Pilgrim candidates have started to move to Arafat by buses. This year, as part of the fight against illegal pilgrims, the buses are being counted, sealed, and the pilgrims are being transported to Arafat in a controlled manner.
Pilgrims Share Their Emotions
Turkish pilgrims completed their preparations early in the morning and set off by buses. The Presidency of Religious Affairs appoints a responsible religious official for each group, while Saudi officials count and check the pilgrim candidates on the buses. Pilgrims express their emotions by saying, „These feelings cannot be described, they can only be experienced.“
- Despite the temperature reaching 45 degrees, pilgrims believe that they will overcome the difficulties by considering themselves as guests of God.
- The group of children also ascends to Arafat with their parents.
- The health team will transport intensive care patients to Arafat by ambulances.
Pilgrims will gather in a total area of 14 square kilometers in Arafat Pilgrimage. The Presidency of Religious Affairs will provide industrial type air conditioners, special beds, and mattresses in the tents for the comfort of the pilgrims. Additionally, services such as distributing provisions, delivering the prayers of the pilgrimage to the tents through a central system will be provided.
- Transfers to Muzdalifah will begin on Saturday evening.
- Pilgrims will ascend to Arafat, perform the pilgrimage, and spend a night in Muzdalifah.
- On the day of Arafah, pilgrims will perform the stoning of the devil ritual in Mina.
Approximately 30 Members of Parliament, including former ministers Hulusi Akar and Mustafa Varank from Turkey, will also ascend to Arafat to perform the pilgrimage.
