Since February 2022, Russia has been continuing its attacks on Ukraine. During the night, the Russian army targeted Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Kharkiv Regional Governor Oleg Sinegubov stated that Russia used at least 15 UAVs in the attack, resulting in the deaths of 4 people, including 3 Ukrainian State Emergency Service personnel, and injuring 12 others. The governor reported that the UAVs also hit the Zmiivska thermal power plant in the region. The attack caused damage to buildings, shops, medical facilities, and parked vehicles.
The Ukrainian General Staff announced that out of the 20 Shaded unmanned aerial vehicles launched into Ukraine during the night, 11 were shot down.
Kharkiv, located 30 kilometers from the Russian border, has frequently been targeted by Moscow since February 2022.
