Russia’s Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft, carrying 3 astronauts, was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
Russia’s “Soyuz MS-25” spacecraft was launched today. The spacecraft, which was sent from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan to the International Space Station (ISS) with 3 astronauts on board, included Russian cosmonaut Oleg Novitskiy, NASA Astronaut Tracy Dyson, and Marina Vasilevskaya, who serves as a flight attendant for Belarusian Airlines “Belavia.” The launch of Soyuz MS-25 at 15:36 UTC was reported to have been successfully completed, and the spacecraft is expected to reach the ISS on March 25th.
According to a statement by the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos), Soyuz MC-25 will spend 184 days in space. After spending 12 days on the ISS with cosmonaut Novitskiy and NASA Astronaut Loral O’Hara, the first Belarusian to go into space, Vasilevskaya, is expected to return to Earth on April 6th with the “Soyuz MS-24” spacecraft launched last year. NASA Astronaut Dyson, on the other hand, will stay on the ISS until September with Russian cosmonauts Oleg Konenko and Nikolay Chub.
The Soyuz MS-24 spacecraft, carrying Russian cosmonauts Konenko, Chub, and NASA astronaut O’Hara, was launched on September 15, 2023.
