Deadly Wildfires in Texas

While forest fires continue in the US state of Texas, 1 person lost their life and an area of 1 million acres turned to ashes.
Forest fires that started in the Panhandle region of Texas on February 26 cannot be extinguished. According to the Texas A&M Forest Service, in the fires at 5 different points, an area of 1 million acres has turned to ashes so far. The largest of the 5 fires, and the second largest in state history, the Smokehouse Creek fire, consumed 850,000 acres.
Deidra Thomas, Public Relations Coordinator for Hutchinson County, announced that a 83-year-old woman died in the forest fire in the Stinnett city area. The fire, which spread to the neighboring state of Oklahoma, turned an area of ​​31,600 acres to ashes. At least 13 houses in the state became uninhabitable. The battle against the flames continues in both states.
An emergency was declared in Texas to combat the fires.
