US Secretary of State Blinken is heading to Germany and Albania

The US Department of State announced that Secretary of State Antony Blinken will visit Germany and Albania from February 14th to 17th. Following the Middle East and Israel engagements, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is heading to Europe and the Balkans. According to a statement by the US Department of State, Blinken will visit the city of Munich in Germany and the capital city of Tirana in Albania from February 14th to 17th. Regarding the visit to Tirana, the statement said, “Blinken will reaffirm the strength of the relationship between the United States and Albania, a key partner for stability in the Western Balkans and a steadfast ally supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”

Attending the Munich Security Conference In Munich, Blinken will participate in the Munich Security Conference as part of the US delegation led by Vice President Kamala Harris. The statement mentioned, “The Secretary will underscore US support for the Ukrainian people, engage with partners on achieving lasting peace and security in the Middle East, and emphasize our steadfast commitment to transatlantic security through bilateral meetings.”
