The officials of General Haftar’s forces, the leader of the Tobruk Administration in Libya, received the Turkish military attaché in Libya and the accompanying delegation. The Secretary General of the General Command of Haftar’s forces, Hayri el-Tamimi, welcomed the Turkish military attaché and the accompanying delegation at the headquarters of Haftar’s forces in Rajma, near Benghazi. Al-Tamimi announced the meeting conducted last week on his social media account, stating that the discussions focused on joint cooperation avenues between the parties. This meeting was the first announced encounter between the Turkish military attaché in Libya and the officials of Haftar’s forces in Benghazi. With this meeting, the first contacts between General Haftar’s administration and Turkey began. General Haftar’s son, Saddam Haftar, participated in the AHA EXPO 2024 International Defense, Aviation, and Space Industry Fair held in Istanbul last month.
