President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrived in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, to attend the BRICS Summit.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrived in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, on a special plane named “CAN” to participate in the BRICS Summit. He was welcomed at Kazan International Airport by Rustem Nigmatulen, the First Deputy Prime Minister of Tataristan, Kazan Mayor Ildar Metshin, Turkey’s Ambassador to Moscow Tanju Bilgiç, and officials from the Turkish Embassy in Moscow and the Kazan Consulate.
During his visit to Tataristan, President Erdoğan is accompanied by his wife Emine Erdoğan, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, and Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat.
It is expected that President Erdoğan will hold a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the summit. The leaders are expected to exchange views on bilateral relations as well as international developments.
