Minister of Trade Bolat attended the Trade Delegation Opening Program

Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat participated in the Trade Delegation Opening Program with Algerian Minister of Trade and Export Promotion Tayeb Zitouni as part of his Algeria contacts. Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat continues his contacts in Algeria. Bolat, who had a bilateral meeting with Algerian Minister of Trade and Export Promotion Tayeb Zitouni, attended the Trade Delegation Opening Program. Following the program, where business council presidents and representatives of Turkish and Algerian business world were also present, Bolat stated in his statement that by the end of 2023, the bilateral trade volume with Algeria reached a historical record of 6.3 billion dollars. Bolat said, ‘In the first 5 months of 2024, this positive trend continued and our trade volume reached approximately 2.7 billion dollars with an 8% increase. This success is a result of over 60 years of diplomatic relations and a shared history of 500 years between two friendly and brotherly countries.’ Addressing the commercial relations between Turkey and Algeria, Bolat stated, ‘As the Ministry of Trade, we will continue to fulfill our duties to further enhance and ensure sustainable growth in our commercial relations with Algeria. I hope that this meeting will further strengthen the economic ties between Turkey and Algeria and enable both countries to benefit most in joint projects.’
