While Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip have been continuing for 216 days, ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas delegations in the capital city of Egypt, Cairo, have come to an end. The delegations have left Cairo. It was reported that the Hamas delegation headed to the capital city of Qatar, Doha.

In a statement by Hamas, it was emphasized that Israel’s attack on Rafah and occupation of the Rafah Border Crossing aims to obstruct the efforts of mediators and escalate the conflict, reaffirming Hamas’s commitment to the ceasefire once again.

It is not yet known when the delegations will meet again in Cairo.
