In Scotland, pro-Palestinian groups set up tents in front of the University of Edinburgh and the parliament building to protest in support of Gaza.

Support demonstrations for Gaza are increasing across Europe. Students at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland set up tents inside the university to organize a protest in support of Gaza. The students called for an end to the violence in Gaza and for a ceasefire to be established.

  • The Edinburgh University Justice for Palestine Society (EUJPS) demanded the university management to stop doing business with Israeli-affiliated companies, to issue a statement acknowledging the genocide Israel is committing against the Palestinian people, to condemn Israel’s historical role in colonizing Palestine, to provide scholarships for Palestinian students from Gaza, to prevent individuals involved in genocide from entering the university, and to use the profits from investments in Israel for rebuilding Gaza as equal compensation.
  • Another group gathered in front of the Scottish Parliament building to organize a protest in support of Gaza. The protesters set up tents and continued their actions to protest against Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip.
