Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian made a strong statement regarding Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip. Jian condemned Israel’s continued attacks on the city of Rafah despite intense demands from the international community. China called on Israel to stop its attacks.
Israel’s Attacks on Rafah
Israel has started carrying out its long-planned attacks on the city of Rafah. The Israeli army, conducting intense airstrikes on the city sheltering over 1 million displaced Palestinians, seized control of the Rafah Border Crossing today with armored units. Despite the international community’s silence, China condemned Israel’s occupation.
Warning from UNRWA Official
UNRWA Planning Director Sam Rose warned that Israel’s attempts to close the Rafah and Kerem Shalom border crossings could have devastating effects on the Gaza population. Rose emphasized that the closure of crossings would lead to a decrease in aid entering Gaza, potentially deepening the humanitarian crisis in the region.
Important Note: There are serious difficulties in meeting basic needs such as drinking water, electricity, and others. The international community should not remain indifferent to this situation.
