Support for Palestine is Rising from Mexican Universities
Support for Palestine is rising from Mexican universities! Mexican students and academics are showing solidarity with Palestine and increasing their support.
Support actions for Palestine continue at universities in Mexico. Starting from Columbia University in the USA, this movement is reaching wide masses worldwide. Following France, students in Mexico have also taken action to protest Israel’s attacks on Palestine.
Students of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) are showing their support for Palestine by setting up camp in the university garden in the capital, Mexico City. Hanging anti-Israel banners in the camp area, the students are calling for an end to the genocide in Palestine and for Mexico to end its diplomatic and trade relations with Israel.
Students participating in support actions for Palestine condemn the violent suppression of pro-Palestine demonstrations in the USA and France, emphasizing that UNAM should also end its cooperation with Israel.
A student participating in the camp expresses their feelings by saying, “The liberation of the Palestinian people can no longer be postponed.” Currently, there are at least 20 tents in the camp area, and it is expected that more students will join and the number of tents will increase in the coming days.
The students stated that they will continue their actions until the Mexican government cuts its ties with Israel.
